GLOBAL INITIATIVES

The Society of International Business Fellows is focused not only on educating our members on the ever-changing global marketplace, but on enlightening a larger community through informative programming and events. Through the Global Network Foundation (GNF), SIBF offers global endeavors to broaden cross-cultural awareness. Current initiatives include:

· Central Eurasia Leadership Academy (CELA) – offering enhanced leadership skills in the Central Eurasia region and development of a culturally diverse international network of leaders working toward peace and prosperity.

· Central Asian Educational Initiative (CAEI) – providing access to technology in rural Tajikistan.

· Mobile Creches - serving children living around construction sites and in slums in India.

Central Eurasia Leadership Academy (CELA)

CELA is an initiative to foster the next generation of leaders in the strategically important Central Eurasia region, promote cooperation and bridge differences between East and West, Islamic and non-Islamic countries. CELA trains mid-career professionals in Central Eurasia with the talent and vision to make a difference in their societies. Since the inaugural program in the summer of 2002, CELA has hosted six academies with more than 250 participants on the campus of Koc University outside Istanbul, Turkey. In addition to the formal roles of faculty and facilitators, SIBF members provide mentoring and role model relationships to support developing leaders. Learn more about CELA.  Back to top.
